She encouraged Marcus and the Casa Agria team to use a very beautiful triple-washed bourbon coffee from the Busiga Region of the Ngozi Province in Burundi, the same province where Jeanine was born and raised. He called up the company and was introduced to the owner, Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian, the founder of JNP Coffees and the not-for-profit Burundi Friends International. The team at Casa Agria definitely put their own spin on the stout’s recipe when Marcus introduced the idea of using coffee sourced through a female and black-owned coffee importer JNP Coffees.
